After a few years working for the Alameda County D.A.'s office and a brief stint at a start up in Silicon Valley, I fell into my construction career in 2000. I began at the bottom you could say, atop roofs working for my father-in-law's family owned roofing company in Oakland. After 2 years, I moved on to a few other roofing and solar companies helping homeowners all over Northern California with roofing, solar and other energy efficient upgrades like attic ventilation, skylights and insulation.
To date, almost 2,000 clients have entrusted me with their home's roof and or solar project. I've installed 5 million square feet of roofing which shields my clients' homes and businesses with every downpour of rain.
After 7 years in the roofing industry, I thought the next challenge was to add solar to my forte. I eagerly jumped into residential solar in 2007, quickly developing a passion for BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) which includes solar roofing tiles and shingles.
Over the last decade, I've helped over 750 clients go solar with their homes and businesses. I like to think that I'm PG&E's arch nemesis, ripping about $2,500,000 a year from their pockets with solar. With just a little help from me, my clients have prevented almost 13 million pounds of carbon dioxide from reaching the atmosphere and poisoning the planet. Who wants to be next?
